almond baked gouda


1 wheel gouda Sheese (at room temperature)
2/3 slivered almonds
2 tbs. whole barley flour
1 tbs. olive oil
1 tbs. maple syrup
1/8 ts. dry mustard powder

Mix together flour, olive oil, maple syrup and mustard. Mix in almonds, press into gouda Sheese and bake in a greased glass dish (not touching the sides) at 350F for 1 hour. Serve warm with apple and/or pears. Serves as an appetizer or party plate.
