HOME > RECIPES > RECIPES > triple maple mustard tofu clubSandwich: 6 slices of whole grain bread 175g extra firm tofu 2-4 pieces of veggie bacon 1/4 wheel of Gouda style Sheese 1/4 medium red onion 1 small tomato 1 cup of mixed greens Maple-mustard sauce: 1 tsp. dry mustard powder 1/2 tsp. granulated garlic 1 tbs. pure maple syrup 1 tbs. olive oil 1/2 ts. of rice vinegar dash of salt dash of black pepper Thinly slice tofu & bake on an olive oiled pan with some salt at 400F turning twice, until crispy (about 15 min.). In the meantime, fry bacon & mix together the dressing ingredients in a cup & whisk well until uniform. Toss into mixed greens & set aside in a bowl. Thinly slice Sheese, tomatoes and onions. Toast bread. Lay down 2 slices and top with tofu, bacon & Sheese. Add another slice of bread, top with onions, tomatoes and dressed greens. Close sandwich, garnish with pickles and cut in half. Serves 2. |
